Creating and Customizing Views in HubSpot

Organizing your leads in HubSpot is much easier when you use custom views and columns. Views let you filter contacts by criteria like location or status, while editing columns controls which information is visible at a glance (e.g., name, phone number, lead status). You can also save views for personal use or share them with your team, ensuring everyone works from the same data. This guide walks you through creating new views, applying filters, and customizing columns so you can manage leads more efficiently.

    Trainer [00:00]:
Hello everyone. Today I’ll be showing you how to create views, edit views, and adjust columns in HubSpot.

    Trainer [00:10]:
For this example, I’ll be using Kim’s account. These are all of Kim’s contacts that are currently assigned.

    Trainer [00:24]:
You can see all available views at the top. I’ve created an Active Leads View for you, which is visible in your accounts.

    Trainer [00:40]:
You can edit the filters in a view by clicking Advanced Filters. For example, the Active Leads View only shows leads that are not marked as “Never.”

    Trainer [01:00]:
You can add or edit filters anytime by clicking Edit Filters. For example, if you want to view all leads from Tucson, apply that filter and it will display only those contacts.

    Trainer [01:19]:
Once you’ve applied filters, you can save your changes by clicking Save. To keep the original view intact, choose Save As New.

    Trainer [01:54]:
To create a completely new view, click Add View → Create New View.

    Trainer [02:27]:
When creating a new view, you can set it as Private (only you can access it) or Team (shared with your HubSpot team, such as Kim’s Arizona team).

    Trainer [02:48]:
From there, just add filters as needed. For example, filter all leads from Arizona to create a state-specific view.

    Trainer [03:21]:
Next, let’s edit the columns. Columns are the fields you see in the list, such as name, email, phone number, and contact owner.

    Trainer [03:30]:
Click Edit Columns to select the fields you want to display.

    Trainer [03:47]:
You can also rearrange the column order. Once you’re done, click Apply, and the new layout will appear immediately.

    Trainer [04:07]:
That’s basically it! Reach out via chat if you have any questions. Have a great day, and thank you.
